Spring 2011: Tied for a team high with 10 singles wins, including seven at the No. 3 singles position ... won six of her last seven matches to conclude the season ... picked up a big win in the No. 3 slot over Cincinnati (April 30) on the final day of the BIG EAST Championship ... won five-consecutive matches, including three in three sets, against Stony Brook (April 10), Boston University (April 9), Connecticut (April 6), Seton Hall (April 3) and Army (March 30) ... won four-consecutive straight-set decisions against South Dakota (March 8), Nova Southeastern (March 7), Fairfield (Feb. 27) and LIU (Feb. 19), as the Red Storm went 4-0 during the stretch.
Fall 2010: Competed in two tournaments and finished the fall season with a 2-3 record in singles matches ... went 3-6 in three doubles tournaments with partner Jenny Yonkus ... opened the fall season with a win over fourth-ranked Natasha Makarova from Columbia 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 in the Columbia Classic (Sept. 17-19) ... went 1-2 in the B singles draw in the USTA Women[apos]s College Invitational (Oct. 9-11) at the USTA Tennis Center ... highlighted her doubles campaign with two wins at the West Point Invitational (Sept. 24-26).
Spring 2010: Went 15-2 in her final 17 matches to finish at 15-5 for the season ... played 16 matches at the No. 3 position ... was 7-0 in BIG EAST Conference regular season action ... defeated Amelia Harris of Louisville for a win in the first round of the 2010 BIG EAST Championship ... topped three league opponents in three-straight matches in three days against Pittsburgh (April 17), Connecticut (April 16) and Rutgers (April 15) ... defeated Fordham (April 10) in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in her final home match of the season ... claimed back-to-back BIG EAST matches over Providence (March 20) and Seton Hall (March 19) ... did not surrender a set to Georgetown (March 13) for her first conference victory of the season ... recorded an 11-9 record in doubles matches.
Spring 2009: Finished at 5-8 for the spring season, playing matches at the No. 2, 3, and 4 positions ... defeated two non-conference opponents and one BIG EAST opponent in three of her first five matches of the season ... defeated Rutgers and Cincinnati for her final wins in the last two matches of the campaign.
Fall 2008: Tallied a 3-2 record in singles play over two tournaments ... earned her first collegiate win over Stephanie Gimenez of UMass, 6-1, 6-1, in the round of 16 of the No. 4 singles draw of the Eastern Championships (Sept 26) ... reached the semifinals of the No. 4 singles draw, ending the Eastern Championships with a team-best 3-1 record (Sept. 26-27).
Before St. John[apos]s: Played from 2002-08 at the Karsiyaka Tennis Club in Turkey and served as the team captain from 2006-08 ... won six Turkish tournaments at the 10-year-old and 14-year-old divisions, while finishing as a finalist at four other tournaments from 2000-04 ... took home the ITF Istanbul Cup Championship in 2007 ... represented her country at the age of 16 at the Europe Winter Cup Group Elimination Matches in Vienna and the Europe Summer Cup in England in 2006 ... competed for the Turkish national team in the European Junior Championships in 2008.
Personal: Daughter of Aykut Firat and Muge Kendirlik ... has one step-brother, Alper (24) ... a finance major and current member of the St. John[apos]s President[apos]s Society.
