As a Graduate Student (2022-23): Excelled in doubles play going 13-1 with two different teammates... named Dr. Peter Vitulli Award winner as part of the end of year awards banquet... honored as BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week with Mouna Bouzgarrou on March 27 following a 2-0 weekend against UConn and Georgetown... won her last 12 doubles matches of the season including a 6-2 win against Georgetown in the first round of the BIG EAST Championships.
As a Senior (2021-22): Compiled a 13-2 combined doubles record... named BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week with partner Mouna Bouzgarrou on Feb. 9... Haakansson and Bouzgarrou concluded the season on an eight-match win streak... went 3-1 in singles play, all three wins came in consecutive sets
As a Junior (Spring 2021): Finished 5-3 in singles play with four out of the five wins coming from the No. 2 slot... won eight out of nine doubles matches on the No. 2 court while partnering with Kajsa Stegrell, Jessica Livianu and Camila Ordonez.
Before St. John’s: Attended Northern Arizona University (2018-20) located in Flagstaff, AZ … was named to the All-Big Sky Second Team on a 2019 team that captured The Big Sky Title … was a regional quarterfinalist in doubles (9-4) and advanced to the round of 16 in singles (9-3) in the fall of her sophomore year … posted a 7-2 singles record and 5-3 doubles mark in the spring of 2020 … freshman year finished with a 14-5 record in singles (9-1 in conference) …. before NAU … won the Danish National Championship in doubles three times (2016,’17,’19) … represented Denmark in the European Championships as a junior.
