Fall 2008: Compiled a 3-4 singles record over two tournaments ... was 0-2 in doubles with partner Ira Aleksova ... went 1-2 in singles play and 0-1 in doubles at the Columbia Classic (Sept. 19-21) ... recorded an even 2-2 singles mark at the Eastern Championships (Sept. 26-28) ... finished 0-1 in doubles at the Wilson/ITA East Regional (Oct. 24-26).
Spring 2008: Finished with a 2-4 singles record our of the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 spots ... went 3-9 in doubles out of the No. 2 and 3 spots with partners Emily Barnett and Ashley Harper ... spent most of the spring with partner Ashley Harper, going 2-6 ... won two-straight singles matches to close out the season (April 14-16).
Fall 2007: Posted a 1-3 record in singles play at the Army Invite and the USTA Invitational ... had a 4-2 record in doubles play ... teamed with Emily Barnett to win the Lichtenberg Doubles draw at the Army Invitational, going 4-0.
Spring 2007: Compiled a 3-11 record in singles play at the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions ... saw a significant amount of time at the No. 5 spot, where she posted a 3-8 record ... posted a 3-9 record in doubles play with Ashley Harper as her partner ... played doubles mostly out of the No. 3 spot.
Fall 2006: Competed at the Columbia Invitational (Sept. 16-17) ... played at the No. 5 singles spot ... produced a 4-2 fall record ... went 1-1 at the USTA Invitational (Oct. 7-9) ... in doubles action, went 1-1 with Ashley Harper ... the duo took fourth place at the Columbia Invitational.
Spring 2006: Went 7-10 in singles action, while producing a 3-9 mark in the spring playing at the No. 6 spot ... led the team in doubles action with an 11-2 overall mark at the No. 3 spot with Lauren Lorenzetti ... produced an eight match winning streak after teaming up on March 11 ... the duo clinched the doubles point in three out of four BIG EAST Tournament matches 4-1 in singles action (1-0 dual, 3-1 tournament).
Fall 2005: Earned first collegiate win against Queens College (Oct. 2) ... finished second in Flight D singles at the Bucknell Invitational.
Before St. John[apos]s: Studied tennis at Kaunas Jezuit Gymnasium ... also lettered in track.
Personal: Daughter of Vytautas Gasiunas and Danute Gasiuniene ... has three siblings: Dovile (36), Vytautas (35) and Kestutis (25)... her mother, Danute, earned a No. 1 ranking in the college level in Lithuania ... her brother, Kestutis, played men[apos]s tennis for Dominican University ... a psychology major.
Off The Court: Gasiunaite, nicknamed 'Gabbi,' was named a 2007-08 BIG EAST Academic All-Star. She remains active at St. John[apos]s and takes part in many community service programs such as the Midnight Run for the Homeless. Gaiunaite[apos]s hobbies include playing the piano, traveling and spending time with her friends. She lists her mother as the most influential person in her athletic career because she introduced her to tennis and always supported her. She is also a big fan of the 'Harry Potter' series.
