David Salomon was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations in 2018. In his current role, he oversees daily operations for all 17 athletic teams and manages the upkeep of seven on-campus facilities in addition to training and weight rooms. He helps carry out over 180 events throughout the year and manages one full-time employee, four graduate assistants and over 60 gameday workers.
In addition to maintaining on-campus facilities, Salomon oversees off-campus gameday operations as well, including coordinating logistical needs for men's basketball home games at Madison Square Garden.
Salomon in his time in Queens has served on several committees, including the St. John's Athletics Facilities Master Planning Committee which is tasked with cultivating bold ideas for facility renovation and construction.
Prior to coming to St. John's, Salomon served as the director of athletic facilities at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut for one year. He oversaw planning and scheduling for practices, meetings and events for all Pioneers athletic programs.
Before arriving at Sacred Heart, Salomon spent five years as an athletic events manager at Hofstra from 2013-17. In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day operation of all indoor and outdoor facilities. He coordinated external events including the Presidential Debate in 2016.
