Carr (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Athena) found the back of the net just eight minutes into the game as she took a cross from the left by Kristy Bergen (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) to put the Red Storm ahead, 1-0.
Clark (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) followed just six minutes later. Heather Cook (Seattle, Wash./Seattle Lutheran) crossed the ball to Carr who found Clark alone in the midfield. Clark then launched a shot from 25 yards out to give the Red Storm a 2-0 lead at the 13:26 mark.
The Jaspers closed to within one with just over five minutes left in the game when Kristin Stroppel beat SJU keeper Tina Fogg (Warwick, R.I./Warwick Veteran Memorial) to the net off a feed from Tina Beatty.
Fogg allowed just one goal and saved five shots for her fifth win of the season. The Red Storm out-shot the Jaspers, 18-9, in the contest. Manhattan goalie Jean Marie Gilbert made eight saves, allowing two goals.
The Red Storm will travel to Rutgers to face the Scarlet Knights on Wednesday at 7 p.m at Yurack Field.
