10/20/2000 12:00:00 AM | Women's Soccer
The game marked the final home game for the eight graduating seniors on the squad. Each senior, with the exception of injured goalkeeper Jen Frankel, was given the start as they played their final home game of their collegiate career.
St. Johns had a strong first half, out shooting the Pirates, 7-4, and headed to the break with the two teams in a scoreless tie. In the second half, Seton Hall used its seventh, and final, shot to net the game-winner. Kei Kurimoto took a feed from Dana Sheffer for the score. The Red Storm ended the game out-shooting Seton Hall, 14-7, while failing in numerous last-minute opportunities, including two scrambles in front of the goal in the final three minutes of the game.
The Red Storm will play their final game of the season against the Stony Brook Sea Hawks at Stony Brook this Sunday, October 22, at 1:00 p.m.
