Kurasaki, Roudovski Earn BIG EAST Honors

Kurasaki, who was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week four times during the season, led the Storm to a 25-8 overall record, arguably their best season in the programs seven-year history. She tallied 1,370 assists on the season, and was ranked fifth in the conference with an 11.61 assists/game average. Kurasaki also broke the school record for assists in a match with 83 in a five-game victory over Syracuse on October 29, and was named to three all-tournament teams on the season. She is only the second SJU player ever to receive notice to the conferences all-rookie team, and is the first St. Johns player ever to be named BIG EAST Rookie of the Year.
Roudovski capped a phenomenal career by becoming the first St. Johns player ever to earn first team all-conference honors. Roudovski, who led the BIG EAST in kills per game with 4.78, leaves St. Johns as the all-time leader in kills with 1,541. In the last match of her outstanding career, Roudovski broke the BIG EAST record for kills in a single season with 554. She also broke the school record for kills in a match with 39 in a five-game victory over West Virginia on October 20.
