Volleyball Beats Villanova In Four

With the win, the Red Storm improve to 23-7 overall and 6-3 in the BIG EAST, while the Wildcats fall to 9-18 and 2-7 in the league.
Roudovski was one of three Red Storm players to total double figures in kills as senior Amanda Berg (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) added 15 and junior Kristy Mercein (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) chipped in 10. Freshman Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii/Maryknoll), named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on Monday, assisted on 50 of the teams 64 kills and led the defense with 13 digs. Senior Aleeza Miller (Los Angeles, Calif./Cal-Berkeley) tallied nine kills and four blocks, while freshman Rosalyn Dang (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou) had a solid all-around match with six kills, six digs, five assists, three aces and two blocks.
The Red Storm will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Georgetown for a 5:00 match with the Hoyas. The outcome of tomorrows match will factor heavily on the Red Storms bid for their first BIG EAST tournament berth in four years. Entering todays competition, St. Johns was tied with Georgetown for fourth, both with 5-3 BIG EAST records. The Hoyas will host fifth-place Connecticut (4-4) later this afternoon. Only four teams qualify for the BIG EAST tournament, scheduled for November 17-19 in South Bend, Ind.
