VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MAINE, IMPROVES TO 12-3

Hanover, N.H. - Senior co-captains Olga Roudovski (Brooklyn, N.Y./Sheepshead Bay) and Amanda Berg (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) had 11 kills apiece to lead the St. John's University volleyball team (12-3) to a three-game sweep (15-3, 15-6, 15-10) over the Maine Black Bears (4-6) at the Dartmouth Invitational Friday night.
The Red Storm has now won five straight matches without dropping a single game. It was the eighth sweep of the season for St. John's, which leads the BIG EAST with a 12-3 overall record.
Roudovski put in a solid defensive effort as well, with a team-high 10 digs. Freshman Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii/Maryknoll) tallied 24 assists, five kills and nine digs in the victory.
The Red Storm continue tournament play tomorrow when they face Quinnipiac at 1:00 and host Dartmouth at 5:00. St. John's will be looking for its third tournament title on the season.
