9/30/2000 12:00:00 AM | Women's Soccer
After a scoreless first half which saw the Red Storm take nine shots, Phyllis LaTour (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) took feeds from Clark (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) and Amber Carr (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) for the game-winner in the 48th minute. The goal was the senior defenders first of her collegiate career.
St. Johns kept the momentum going, scoring two more goals in the span of 4:49. Clark netted her third goal of the season at the 51:37 mark when Lisa Rinaldi (Montreal, Canada/Laurier McDonald) stole the ball from a Saint midfielder and fed the ball to Clark for the score. Fourty-eight seconds later, Karyn Lundgren (Coram, NY/Newfield) followed with her first goal of the season, assisted by Clark and Diane Abeles (Glendale, CA/LaCanada).
With her two assists this evening, Clark is just one assist behind Jen Contesini for the all-time career assist lead. Contesini owns that record with 24 career assists. Clark now has 23.
Tina Fogg (Warwick, RI/Warwick Veterans Memorial) recorded her second win of the season. She had just one save on the evening in her third shutout of the season.
