St. Johns Volleyball Drops 3-2 Decision at Boston College

The loss drops the Red Storms overall record to 16-6 and to 4-3 in the BIG EAST, while the Eagles improve to 16-7 overall and 4-3 in the conference.
The Red Storm had jumped out to a 2-0 lead after winning the first two games, 31-29, and 30-27.
The Eagles, however, raced back, winning the next two games, 30-16 and 30-17, before taking the final game, 17-15.
St. Johns was led by sophomore Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii/Maryknoll), who had 35 assists and 13 digs, while senior outside hitter Kristy Mercein (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) added four kills, five service aces and 22 digs. Sophomore Rosalyn Dang (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou) had nine kills and seven digs.
Boston College was led by Rachel Bach, who had 18 kills and 11 digs, and Katie Anderson, who had 15 kills and 24 digs.
The Red Storm continue its BIG EAST weekend with a crucial match at Connecticut on Sunday at 2 p.m.
