SJU Baseball to Play Virginia Tech, Georgetown this Weekend

The Hokies enter this weekends competition with a 10-8 overall record and a 3-0 mark in the conference following a sweep of Boston College. The teams have met only twice in school history, splitting both games. St. Johns beat the Hokies, 11-5, last season in the Winn-Dixie Shootout.
The Hoyas lost two of three games last weekend to Pittsburgh and enter this weekend with a 6-13 overall mark and a 1-2 record in the BIG EAST. The Red Storm lead the head-to-head series, 23-7, and have won six of the last seven games overall.
Junior Marc Goldberg (Staten Island, N.Y./Port Richmond) and sophomore Geno Orsogna (Norfolk, Mass./Bishop Feehan) are expected to start for the Red Storm on Friday.
The team returns home next week to the Ballpark at St. Johns University, playing Iona on Tuesday at 3 p.m., and C.W. Post on Thursday, March 29, at 3 p.m.
