Red Storm Downs Fordham, 6-0

At No. 1 singles, Erik Scharf (Bronxville, N.Y.) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Andrew Sanak. E. Scharf kept his streak alive, he is now 8-0 at the No. 1 position in team play. The last time E. Scharf dropped a dual match was February 28, 1999 at Stetson. The Steton loss came during the last week of February, 1999 when E. Scharf also lost at Columbia and Princeton. He has not lost a dual match since then.
Jake Maxwell (Glen Cove, N.Y.) played the toughest match of the day. At No. 2 singles, Chris Kelly of Fordham won the most games of any other Ram athlete. Maxwell did come out on top though, beating Kelly, 6-3, 6-4.
Christian Carere (Brampton, Canada) captured his first dual match of the season. Carere defeated Sevan Hugasyan, 6-2, 6-1.
The Red Storm return to action on Tuesday, April 3 at the National Tennis Center versus Connecticut.
