Reina (Frankfort, N.Y.) put the Red Storm ahead on the board first with a goal at 12:50. Reina gained control of a solid pass from midfield by freshman Erin Henderson (Watervliet, N.Y.) before averting a Stony Brook defender and sending the ball to the back of the net.

Reina and Schmidt teamed up to score the eventual gamewinner for the Red Storm. Sophomore Lauren McGrory (Happauge, N.Y.) sent a blast into the traffic in front of the goal. Schmidt then pushed a deflected shot across to Reina, who managed to put one past the Seawolves goalie.
