With the game scoreless going into the top of the ninth inning, Bilezikjian reached on an error and senior third baseman Jason Kane (Rutherford, N.J.) singled, with the runners moving up to second and third on the throw. Sophomore outfielder Anthony DeRosa (Salem, N.H.) was intentionally walked to load the bases and Winter, who was pinch-hitting, slapped a double to the right field wall, scoring all three runners, and giving St. Johns a 3-0 lead.
Bilezikjian gave up a leadoff double in the ninth to Chad Felty, who scored on a single up the middle from Adam Keim, but the senior captain struck out the final two batters of the game to seal the win.
Bilezikjian, in his first start of the season, was dominant. After runners reached second and third in the first inning on an error and walk, Bilezikjian induced the final two outs of the inning. He issued a leadoff walk in the second, but then retired the next nine batters, striking out three.
Coastal first baseman Jordan Weismore reached on a walk to lead off the fifth, but Bilezikjian retired the next nine batters, and had a no-hitter through eight innings.
Bilezikjian finished the day allowing one run on three hits in nine innings, walking three and striking out eight batters. He was one of four players with a hit for St. Johns, joined by Kane, Winter and junior outfielder Ray Downs (New Rochelle, N.Y.).
The Red Storm take Tuesday off, but return to action on Wednesday, playing UNC-Charlotte at 4 p.m.
