St. John' Volleyball Falls to Miami, 3-0

Jamaica, N.Y.?The St. John?s volleyball team fell to Miami this afternoon, 3-0 (30-24, 30-25, 30-26), in a BIG EAST conference match played at Alumni Hall in Jamaica, N.Y. The Red Storm fall to 22-7 overall and 4-3 in the conference, while the Hurricanes improve 17-6 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
For the match, the Red Storm were led by senior Rosalyn Dang (Honolulu, Hawaii) who tallied 12 kills on 25 attempts for .360 hitting percentage. Senior setter Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii) dished out 23 assists, while freshman libero Nicole Coaluca (Naperville, Ill.) recorded eight digs in the back row for the Red Storm. Up front, Puna Richardson (Honolulu, Hawaii) and Dang combined for 11 total blocks.
The Red Storm return to action next weekend when they travel South Orange, N.J. for a BIG EAST conference match versus Seton Hall on Saturday, November 1. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
