St. Johns Baseball Makes Schedule Changes

JAMAICA, N.Y. -- Due to inclement weather in the New York area, the St. Johns baseball team has made further changes to its home schedule this week.

A game on Wednesday against Pace University has been cancelled. The Red Storm and the Setters will now play on Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m.

St. Johns was originally scheduled to play St. Francis (N.Y.) tonight, but that game has been moved to Thursday at 3:30 p.m. A final decision on that game will be made tomorrow.

St. Johns is 14-15 overall and 4-3 in the BIG EAST. After struggling to start the season, the Red Storm have won 10 of their last 14 games. Junior shortstop Mike Rozema (Fair Lawn, N.J.) has been the leader for the team, batting .420 (37-for-88), with a team-high 37 hits, 17 runs scored, five doubles, one triple, nine RBI and four stolen bases. He is third in the BIG EAST in batting, and fourth with a .480 on-base percentage.

The Red Storm will pick up their BIG EAST portion of the schedule this weekend at Georgetown.
