St. John' Volleyball Sweeps Siena 3-0

The Red Storm jumped out to a 12-4 lead and held off several Siena rallies to emerge with a nine point game one win. Game two was led by Dang, who had seven kills in just 12 attempts. Nicole Colaluca (Naperville, Ill.) notched five digs late in the game to help bring St. John?s to a 30-19 win.
In game three, the Saints jumped ahead to a 14-11 lead, but the Red Storm battled back to tie the game at 23-23. Robyn Kurasaki (Milliani, Hawaii) served four straight points to give St. John?s the lead at 27-24. St. John?s closed out the game, 30-27, to take its eighth straight win. Kurasaki added 30 assists and 9 digs for the Red Storm.
The Saints were lead by senior Lauren Weber who tallied 8 kills and 12 digs. The Saints drop their third straight game to bring their record to 1-8.
The Red Storm return to action at 4:30 p.m. this Friday against Coppin State at the Towson tournament in Towson, Maryland.
