St. Johns Volleyball Falls to Towson, 3-1

Towson took a 1-0 early lead with a 30-20 game one victory. After the slow start, the Red Storm rebounded quickly, taking game two, 30-24. Sophomore Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y.) led the attack in game two with nine kills on 13 attempts.
With the score tied at one game apiece, Towson was able to win game three and four to close out the match, 3-1. For the match, St. John ?s was led by Ahlers, who recorded 21 kills. Freshman Erin Poglits (West Bloomfield, Mich.) dished a team-high 25 assists, while freshman libero Nicole Colaluca (Naperville, Ill.) tallied 13 digs.
St. John?s returns to action on Sunday, September 21 when the play their final game at the Towson Tournament. The Red Storm will square off against Coppin State at 9:00 a.m.
