St. John's Women's Tennis Falls to Princeton

The St. John's women's tennis team dropped a non-league match to Princeton on Friday afternoon, losing 6-1.
The Red Storm fall to 5-2 with the loss.
The lone winner for St. John's was junior Hande Gorur, who beat Princeton's Stephanie Berg, 3-6, 7-6 and 10-1 in the deciding game.
Junior Kristina Bothova lost to Darcy Robertson at No. 1 singles, 7-6 (5), 6-0; junior Allison Davidson lost to Allison Hashmall at second singles, 6-2, 7-6; sophomore Lauren Leo dropped a three-set match, 6-2, 3-6, 10-8) to Rankin Williams at fourth singles; sophomore Lauren Lorenzetti lost to Mateya McCoy at fifth singles, 6-1, 6-4; and sophomore Jennifer Liantonio lost at No. 6 to Kristen Carlin, 6-2, 6-1.
Leo and Gorur lost a tough match at No. 1 doubles to Robertson and Joanna Roth, 8-5; Davidson and Lorenzetti lost at second doubles to Alex Kobishvn and Jessica Siebel, 8-1; and Bothova and Liantonio dropped a close match at third to Vanti Bhargava and Mateya McCoy, 9-8 (0).
The Red Storm return to action on Sunday, playing at Rutgers at 1 p.m.
