"My time as a student-athlete at St. John's was one that I will never forget. The opportunity to attend St. John's as a student was an honor, and to play on the baseball team was a privilege.
"The friendships, teammates, coaches, mentors, memories, and life lessons that I came across at St. John's are always with me and will continue to be. I feel very fortunate to have attended a school with such tradition, and one that continues to grow. There are time were I wish that I had a redshirt year or three left.
Go Red Storm.

"I would have to say that playing baseball at St. John's was the best time in baseball I've ever had. Not only were we, as players, treated like professionals by the coaching staff, but we were also treated with respect by students and faculty. Coach Blankmeyer treats his players like professionals, allowing you to play your game, while showing you pointers along the way that can help to make you a more complete player.
"My teammates are some of the hardest working individuals I have ever met, and they helped me raise my game with their work ethic alone. Our facilities, uniform and equipment were all top-notch, and we had access to all the amenities a major league team would receive, from something as simple as sunflower seeds in the dugout on game days to the top equipment, with Nike and TPX equipment.
"We have excellent alumni support, and we play in the best conference in the Northeast. The BIG EAST is just as competitive as the SEC, the ACC and the Pac-10. We are at a disadvantage because of the cold weather, but I believe that just made us tougher players. The Southern schools never have to battle the elements, and that's something we dealt with day in and day out.
"The St. John's Family is definitely one I am proud to say I was a part of. My experiences on and off the baseball field are irreplaceable and if I could do it all over again, I would choose St. John's in a heartbeat."

"One word that comes to my mind when I think back on my times in the St. John's Baseball program is 'family.' My teammates, coaches, and I were inseparable in my four years at St. John's. Timeless relationships and lessons were gained in my four years and still exist today, as I continue to work closely with the program.
"The constant in the program has been the hard working coach, Ed Blankmeyer. Words cannot express how much that man has done for me in the seven years that I've known him. He is like a second father to me. He has taught me much about life on and off the baseball field, so much so that I could not imagine where to begin to pay him back. His drive and passion for his program and its players is what makes the St. John's baseball program among the elite in the BIG EAST Conference and the nation as a whole.
"While playing for St. John's, not only did I receive this foundation in life, but at the same time I received the treatment of a true professional. Here at St. John's, everything is top of the line, from the equipment, to the facilities, to the education. Everything needed for today's student-athletes to succeed is on hand at St. John's. Playing for St. John's was a life changing experience for me, and now as an alum, it still remains to be."
