Postgame Quotes: St. John's 67, Niagara 43
St. John's Head Coach Kim Barnes Arico
On the play of forward Angela Clark:
"She has days where she misses some of those chippies but for the most part she makes those shots. I think she was feeling a little under the weather but she really sucked it up and came out to play for us and did what she had to do."
On the teams 3-point shooting:
"Our 3-point shooting hasn't been as good as it usually is. We have capable players but we've just been a little tight. Today, Kia came out and made a lot of big shots for us which was great."
On the team's margin of victory:
"Every game to me feels like it's a big game and I always feel a little tight no matter what the score is."
Niagara Head Coach Bill Agronin
On his team's performance:
"St. John's is quick and more athletic than we are. We just didn't have the energy we needed to win this game. They're quick to the ball where we're not. We beat Syracuse a few days ago and we just didn't bring that same intensity level today."
On the difference between St. John's and BIG EAST rival Syracuse:
"The biggest difference between St. John's and Syracuse is quickness. St. John's shot the ball better than Syracuse and defended better than them too. These kids (St. John's) played hard today and they didn't let us get any easy shots."
