QUEENS, N.Y. -
The St. John's men golf team took tenth place in a shortened one day outing at the William and Mary Invitational. Day two was canceled due to heavy rains in the area.
Keegan Bradley (Jackson Hole, Wyo.) was the low scorer for the Red Storm, coming in ninth overall. The sophomore carded a one-over par 71 in what ended up being the only round of the tournament.
Senior Brian McArdle (Huntington, N.Y.) and freshman Casey Calmi (Douglaston Manor, N.Y.) finished tied for 30th after finishing the day with a 74. Rounding out the five man roster for St. John's were sophomore George Zolotas (Peabody, Mass.) and freshman Kevin Velardo (Wilmington, Mass.). The pair concluded the tournament with a nine-over par 80.
Heavy winds, overcast skies and frigid temperatures plagued the William and Mary Invitational from its start, making conditions on the course less than pleasant.
The Red Storm posted a final score of 302. Filling in the top nine spots were Liberty University (292), Maryland (293), Villanova (295), Richmond (298), St. Joseph's (299), Old Dominion (300), Navy (300), James Madison (301) and George Washington (301).
Next up for the St. John's men's golf team is the George Washington Invitational, March 25-26.
