Women's Golf In Seventh Place At BIG EAST Championships

DADE CITY, Fla. - After the first two rounds of the BIG EAST Golf Championships on Monday at the Lake Jovita Country Club, the women's golf team is in seventh place with a 32-over par 640. The team shot a combined 320 in each round.
Senior Maggie Steciuk (London, Ontario, Canada) leads the Red Storm with a 12-over par 156 on the 72 par course. She is currently in a four-way tie for 15th place after shooting a 79 in round one and a 77 in round two.
Classmate Christin Thomson (Ft. Frances, Ontario, Canada) carded a 76 in the first round and finished the day with a 13-over par 157. Brittany Lambertson (Northport, N.Y.) came in one stroke behind Thomson with a 158.
Senior Katie Lebel (Mooretown, Ontario, Canada) and Jaclyn Sanders (Brights Grove, Ontario, Canada) shot a 169 and 174, respectively.
