BIG EAST Softball Championship Postponed Due To Rain

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - All four games of the first day of the 2006 BIG EAST Softball Championship have been postponed, due to inclement weather in the South Bend area. An updated schedule will be released later this evening.
The original schedule had four games scheduled to play on Thursday in the opening day of the event. The fourth seeded Syracuse and fifth seed DePaul were slated play at 10:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, with No. 1 Louisville and No. 8 St. John's scheduled to face off at 12:30 p.m. Second seeded USF and No. 7 Pittsburgh was set to play at 4:00 p.m., with No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 6 Providence set to play in the nightcap at 6:30 p.m..
