Goldberg The Goalie Named ECAC Rookie Of The Week

For the second week in a row, rookie goaltender Dan Goldberg earns ECAC honors.
Coming off a last week???s honor roll selection, Goldberg once again had a fantastic week in goal, enough to earn himself Co-Rookie of the Week Honors.
Goldberg shares the honor with freshman Kevin Curtin from Hobart.
Against the No. 19 Drexel Dragons, the Hewlett High School alumnus and United States Military Academy Prep transfer, recorded another double-digit save performance, muting 23 of the Dragons??? goal efforts.
Prior to the Quinnipiac game on March 13, Goldberg averaged 17.33 saves per contest. Against the Bobcats of Quinnipiac, Goldberg saved another 17 shots for a 9-8 Red Storm victory.
Goldberg leads the conference in saves per game with 52 total and 17.33 per game, he is third in the conference in ground balls and save percentage with an average of 6.67 per game and .684 respectively; and fourth in goals against average with 8.17.
Other Red Storm players making the ECAC leader board are Jack Rosson and Dom DeNapoli tied for seventh in face-off percentage with .471 each. The Michealsen twins and Justin O???Donnell also mark the ECAC charts. Trevor Michaelsen is ninth in goals per game with an average of 1.80, Tom Michaelsen is ninth in assists per game with 1.20 and O???Donnell is eighth in shots per game with 6.40. Dave Saccente ranks in at ninth in saves per game with an average of 7.00. (Statistics through all games played until March 12).
The Red Storm (2-4, 0-1 ECAC) collides with the No. 14 Greyhounds of Loyola (2-2, 1-0 ECAC) on Saturday, March 17 in Baltimore for their second ECAC contest of the season. Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
