QUEENS, N.Y. - The spring season is on the horizon for the St. John's women's soccer team, as it opens its schedule on March 29 at Belson Stadium. The spring season will feature six competition dates.
"We have elevated the level of our spring schedule this year," said head coach Ian Stone. "Monmouth made the NCAA Tournament last year; Villanova on the road will be challenging and Central Connecticut State, Princeton and Columbia are all excellent teams. It is also particularly exciting to renew our old rivalry with ACC and NCAA powerhouse, Boston College. Our team will really be tested by playing against this type of opponent. It will give us the opportunity to see what our players are made of."
St. John's will open its schedule at home when it hosts the New York Athletic Club on March 29. The Red Storm will continue its home stand on April 4 against Monmouth. St. John's will hit the road the next week to face Boston College and Central Connecticut State, then will take on conference foe Villanova on April 20. The Red Storm will wrap up its spring schedule with contests against Princeton and Columbia of the Ivy League in New York, N.Y. on April 26.
The team will take a break from its schedule on April 19 and welcome back former players for its annual Alumnae Match held at 3 p.m.
