QUEENS, N.Y. -
- St. John's shot a season-high 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from beyond the arc. The eight 3's were also a season-high.
- The Red Storm had a +10 (43-33) advantage in the battle of the boards. It is the first time this season that St. John's has lost the game when outrebounding the opponent.
- After tying the game at 23-23 with 4:34 left in the first half, St. John's went on a 14-2 run over the next 3:24. The rally was keyed by two Paris Horne 3's and a 3-pointer from Quincy Roberts.
- Sophomore Sean Evans posted his fourth-career double-double with a 12-point, 11-rebound effort. Evans has scored in double figures in nine contests this season.
- For the sixth time this season, Horne led the team in scoring. The sophomore scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-7 from long range. Horne has reached the 20-point plateau in two of the past three games.
- Horne also tied his career-high with six rebounds and four 3-pointers.
- Sophomore Justin Burrell reached double figures for the second-straight game after pouring in 15 points.
- Burrell was also 1-of-2 from long range. The sophomore is 6-of-14 from long range on the season and has made 4-of-8 3's since donning a protective face mask.
