QUEENS, N.Y. - The Red Storm coaching staff has announced that the men's lacrosse team will be hosting three half-day clinics this winter, for boys ages 11-17.
The clinics will take place on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10. A shooting and goalie session will be held on Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. followed by a newly-added defense session at 1 p.m. The players will learn the fundamentals of face-offs during the 10 a.m. session on Jan. 10. All sessions take place in the newly-renovated Carnesecca Arena.
Each session is $60, or $100 for any two sessions.
The clinic is a program designed to provide athletes with the opportunity to train in an environment similar to the St. John's University's men's lacrosse team and other top level programs across the country. They will be instructed by members of the Red Storm coaching staff and talented collegiate players in aspects of the game including technique, tactics, fitness and mental training.
