QUEENS, N.Y. -
- St. John's picks up its fourth win in the WNIT, improving its record to 4-2 in the tournament.
- Da'Shena Stevens recorded a game-high 20 points, marking the ninth time this season that the freshman led the squad in scoring and the third time she reached 20 points on the year. She also surpassed AnneMarie McNamee to become the all-time leading scorer among all freshman at St. John's with 382. The BIG EAST Rookie of the Year ended the night with eight rebounds.
- Victoria Hodges recorded a career-high six points on a perfect 3-for-3 mark from the field. All her points came in the second half, as the junior played six minutes.
- Junior Aricia Mitchell just missed her first career double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
- With three treys in the game, Kelly McManmon moved into sole possession of second place on the all-time 3-point field goals made list. The senior passed Amy Bolen (144) and ended the night with 146 career 3's. McManmon finished with 11 points.
- McManmon now has 87 3-pointers on the season and trails former Red Storm-great Kim MacMillan by six on the single-season record book list.
- Sophomore Sky Lindsay set a new career high with six assists in the contest and was one of four St. John's players to score in double figures with 12 points.
- Sophomore Sheree Ledbetter set new career highs in points (eight), assists (three) and steals (two), while freshman Britney Murphy's five rebounds was also a personal best.
- The Red Storm outscored the Crimson 16-4 in the first 4:16 of the second half, extending its lead to 15 points, 48-33. Stevens scored eight of her 20 points during the stretch to fuel the run.
- STJ had its biggest lead, 26 points, twice in the game: after a jumper by Hodges at 8:37 of the second half gave St. John's a 68-42 lead and after a layup by Stevens put the Red Storm up, 78-52, with 4:27 remaining in the game.
