Kaitlin Haas Named BigAppleSoccer.com Player Of The Week

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's soccer player Kaitlin Haas was named the BigAppleSoccer.com Player of the Week after helping lead the Red Storm to a pair of victories over the weekend.
Haas led the Red Storm with two goals for four points and extended her scoring streak to three games. All of her points came off the bench. She also fired a team-high four shots over the weekend.
The Langhorne, Pa., native scored an insurance goal for STJ to help lead the team to the 2-0 victory against Syracuse on Friday.
Haas continued her hot offense streak on Sunday, giving the Red Storm the early lead, 1-0, in the first half. The team went on to defeat Columbia, 2-1, on Sunday and extend its winning streak to four games for a record of 7-1, 1-0 BIG EAST.
Thanks to the senior's efforts this past weekend, the Red Storm climbed to No. 15 in the Soccer America Top 25 Poll and reentered the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 Poll at No. 23.
The Red Storm will look to extend its winning streak on Thursday when it welcomes BIG EAST foe No. 16/25 Connecticut at 7 p.m.
