2010 Women's Soccer Spring Schedule Released

QUEENS, N.Y. -
The spring season is on the horizon for the St. John's women's soccer team, as it opens its schedule on March 21 at Belson Stadium.
"I am really pleased with the teams we have scheduled," head coach Ian Stone said. "Our opponents are going to challenge us both tactically and physically and will help the team get back into rhythm as we prepare for another great season in 2010. We have a great nucleus of returning players and our schedule will test us. I know the team is excited to get on the field, and I am excited to see how they respond to the challenge."
St. John's will open its schedule with a two-game homestand when it hosts Fairfield on March 21 and local foe Fordham on March 28.
The Red Storm will begin its road portion of its schedule when it participates in the BIG EAST Spring Tournament held in Oakwood, Conn., on April 10. STJ will continue its road trip on April 17 when it travels to face Yale. The Red Storm will wrap up the season close to home at the Hofstra Tournament on Sunday, April 24.
The team will take a break from its schedule on April 18 and welcome back former players for its annual alumnae match held at 1 p.m.
