Baltz Earns Second-Straight BIG EAST Honor Roll Selection

QUEENS, N.Y. - Freshman Jeremy Baltz has been selected to the BIG EAST baseball weekly honor roll for the second-straight week as announced by the Conference. St. John's went 2-2 on the week, including a 2-1 record in conference play against West Virginia.
Baltz batted .412 for the week and homered in all three games in the series against WVU. The freshman also had five RBI in the week and added a team-best 1.059 slugging percentage. The outfielder was 0-for-4 with a walk in a midweek game at Wagner before putting up big numbers in a three-game set against the Mountaineers.
In the series against West Virginia, Baltz led the team with a .538 batting average, a 1.385 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage. The outfielder also led the team with six runs scored and three home runs, while tying for the team lead with five RBI. Baltz had three multi-hit games in the series as well.
In BIG EAST games only, Baltz leads the Conference with a 1.030 slugging percentage and ranks second in average (.455), on-base percentage (.550), home runs (5) and RBI (14).
