Rain Cancels BIG EAST Consolation Round

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The BIG EAST Tennis Championship was moved indoors Saturday after rain made the outdoor facilities unplayable in South Bend. Both the St. John's men's and women's teams were slated for consolation matches on Saturday afternoon.

Because of weather conditions, all consolation rounds were cancelled for the remainder of the BIG EAST Tennis Championship due to time constraints on indoor courts.

The men's and women's semifinals will continue today at indoor facilities and the championship matches, scheduled for Sunday will continue as scheduled.
