QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's sophomore attacker Charlie Holenstein was named to the final BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office today.
Holenstein scored two goals in the season finale against 2/2 Syracuse on Saturday, one coming in the first quarter and one in the third. Holenstein also notched two ground balls.
The announcement marks the first time that Holenstein has received a weekly honor in his career. Holenstein was the eighth different Red Storm player to be honored by the BIG EAST as St. John's sported at least one representative on the list during seven of the season's 12 weeks.
A native of Downingtown, Pa., Holenstein finished the season ranked second on the team with 15 goals and third with 21 points.
