Red Storm In Eighth Place At Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - St. John's women's golf freshman Harin Lee continued her strong start to her collegiate golf career, shooting a 6-over 150 on Saturday to lead the Red Storm in Saturday's first two rounds of the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club. STJ sits in eighth place after shooting 56-over 632.
Lee carded 3-over 75s in both rounds and currently sits in 11th place, eight strokes back of Yale's Seo Hee Moon, who leads the field at 2-under 142. Yale leads all teams at 18-over 594 with Princeton (20-over 596) and Georgetown (30-over 606) rounding out the top three. The 12-team field also features Pennsylvania, Harvard, Rollins, Columbia, Sacred Heart, Rutgers, Monmouth and Seton Hall.
Lee's six birdies is tied for fourth-most in the 65-player field. Her 4.10 (+2) scoring average on par-5s ranks fourth.
Sophomore Mariana Barrios opened with a strong first round, shooting 4-over 76. Following an 8-over 80 in the afternoon, Barrios is tied for 30th at 12-over 156. Barrios is tied for the second-best par-3 scoring with a 3.00 (E) average.
Sophomore Sebin Kim, freshman Stephanie Eybers and junior Ellen Oswald all improved on their first-round scores in the second round. Kim is in 42nd after shooting 81-80-161 (+17). Eybers is tied for 49th after she carded an 85-80-165 (+21). Oswald saw an 11-stroke improvement with her second-round 82 and sits in 58th at 31-over 175
The Red Storm will play the final 18 holes of the tournament on Sunday. Play starts at 8 a.m.
