QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's freshman Kieran McArdle was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced on Monday.
A native of Ronkonkoma, N.Y., McArdle led the team with three points on one goal and two assists against then-no. 8 Hofstra on Tuesday night. He also picked up three ground balls and caused one turnover in the contest.
McArdle was part of a 15-goal offensive outburst in Saturday's win over Sacred Heart. Tallying his third hat trick of the season, McArdle scored three goals and registered one assist against the Pioneers.
McArdle is the fourth different Red Storm player honored by the BIG EAST this season, joining Kevin Cernuto, Jeff Lowman and last week's honoree Dillon Ayers.
St. John's will return to the field on Sunday, April 3, to face conference rival Rutgers in the Konica Minolta Big City Classic. Game time is slated for 1 p.m., with live broadcast coverage on ESPN3.com.
