Briana Brown Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's basketball senior captain Briana Brown was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a stellar performance in the Red Storm's 72-63 win over Seton Hall on Dec. 28 at Carnesecca Arena.
Brown, making her second career appearance on the Honor Roll, led the Red Storm in the conference victory netting a career-high 20 points in a 7-of-13 shooting performance from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. The senior guard hit two 3-pointers against Seton Hall, including a game-clinching three with 2:04 remaining in regulation. The Norwalk, Conn. native added a season-high eight rebounds and three assists to her stat line.
The Red Storm closes out non-conference action on Monday night in a 5 p.m. contest at Delaware. St. John's returns to conference play on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Xavier in a 7 p.m. tip.
