QUEENS, N.Y. – Following arguably the greatest individual season in St. John’s women’s soccer history, forward Rachel Daly continues to be rewarded for her record-breaking sophomore campaign. Daly was tabbed the Eastern College Athletic Conference women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Year and was selected to the ECAC’s First Team.
Daly, recently invited to the England senior women’s training camp, is the first St. John’s women’s soccer student-athlete to earn the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year accolade.
This fall, Daly set St. John’s single-season records in goals (23) and points (50), becoming the program’s first-ever student-athlete to be named a NSCAA All-American after earning second team honors. Daly, who was also earned first team NSCAA All-Northeast Region, finished tied as the nation’s top goal scorer in Division I, helping guide the Red Storm to the NCAA Tournament Second Round after claiming the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament win.
Daly was also the undisputed choice as the BIG EAST Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Year, while also being a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
