FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. (Feb. 28, 2013) - Behind a strong all-around performance in doubles and singles, the St. John's men's tennis team picked up a 5-2 win over ASA of Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon at the National Tennis Center.
The Red Storm saw four players win in straight sets including senior Mike Lampa at the No. 5 slot, 6-1, 6-0, and freshman Michael-John Every at the No. 6 slot, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles action, senior Vasko Mladenov and Lampa claimed their match, 8-6, while classmates Hugo Morth and Mark Mozer won 8-6.
St. John's returns to action tomorrow when the Red Storm takes on cross town rival Fordham for a noon non-conference match at the National Tennis Center.
