Individual Notes

Amber Thompson posted her third double-double of the season with her 11 point and 12 rebound performance in the win over the Bluejays. Thompson now has 10 career double-doubles.
Freshman forward Jade Walker recorded career-highs in points (10) and field goals (five).
Sophomore guard Danaejah Grant put up 16 points, tying her season high, on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Grant also set a season-high in minutes with 29.

Team Notes

St. John's did not surrender the lead in its second BIG EAST victory of the season. The largest Red Storm lead was by 25, 62-38, with 4:37 in the second half.
Four St. John's players scored in double figures for the second time this season. The Red Storm last had four double-digit scorers in its 77-72 win over Sacred Heart on Nov. 8.
17 Bluejay turnovers led to 20 points for the Red Storm. St. John's also outscored the Creighton bench, 34-21.
St. John's led Creighton 35-17 at the half, its largest halftime lead of the season. Previously, the Red Storm's biggest lead going into the locker room this season was a 15 point lead against Iona on Nov. 12.
The Red Storm defense held the Bluejays to 17 first half points, their lowest point total of the season.
