Jackie Reed Named BIG EAST Player Of The Week

QUEENS, N.Y. - Senior Jackie Reed was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week for the second time in her career on Monday after a 6-for-10 performance this weekend against conference rival Seton Hall.
Reed finished the week with a team-leading .600 average as she led the Red Storm (22-20, 7-7 BIG EAST) to a 2-1 weekend over the Pirates. The senior first baseman posted five RBI, three runs a pair of walk and a two-run home run for a .900 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage while recording 23 putouts and an assist without committing any errors.
St. John's will return to action on April 23 when it travels to Piscataway, N.J., to take on former BIG EAST foe Rutgers at 4 p.m.
