Donadio Selected To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After hitting safely in all four games and batting .643 (9-for-14) with three multi-hit games in a 2-2 week, freshman Michael Donadio was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
The outfielder scored five runs and added four RBI to go with one double and a .714 slugging percentage. The rookie also walked twice, posted a .647 on-base percentage and swiped two bases in two attempts. In three conference games against Creighton, Donadio batted .556 (5-for-9) with four RBI, four runs scored and a .583 on-base percentage.
Donadio went 4-for-5 with a run scored in midweek action against Albany before going 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run in the opener against Creighton. The freshman went 2-for-3 with an RBI, two walks and two runs in game two against the Bluejays and finished the weekend with two RBI and a run scored as part of a 2-for-4 day.
Donadio currently ranks tied for second in the BIG EAST in runs (43), tied for third in home runs (5) and walks (29), fourth in on-base percentage (.443), fifth in both RBI (41) and slugging percentage (.500), and 10th in batting average (.333).
St. John's returns to action and concludes the home portion of its regular season schedule with a 6 p.m. game on May 13 against Saint Peter's. The game will be carried live on ESPN3.
