Erin Burner Named NFCA First Team All-Region

QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior Erin Burner was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Great Lakes Region First Team after earning a unanimous selection into the All-BIG EAST First Team last week.
This year, the junior catcher posted a .383 average that includes 11 doubles, a triple, 14 home runs and 40 RBI for a team-leading .722 slugging percentage and has been the hero for the Red Storm on more than one occasion. With the honor, Burner becomes only the fourth person in program history to be named to the NFCA All-Region First Team.
The 2014 NFCA Division I All-America teams will be announced at approximately 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 28, via NFCA.org.
