Anna Kim Finishes Sixth at Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Highlighted by Anna Kim's sixth place individual finish, the St. John's women's golf team wraps up the Rutgers Invitational on Saturday in ninth place with a total score of 323-324-334--981 (+117).
Kim showed her consistency again by improving three spots on the final day after carding a 76 (+4). The senior from Toronto finished at 78-75-76--229 (+13) to secure her 10th top-10 finish in the last two seasons, including her second this fall.
Freshman Kirsty Beckwith bumped her position six slots on the leader board with an 80 (+8) in the final round. She tied for 29th place with an 81-81-80--242 (+26) for the tournament, clinching the best finish in her young career.
Saskia Sterud posted a 79-80-89--248 (+32), while Lindsey Oliva scored a 90-88-89--267 (+51).
Delaware took home both the individual and team title as the Blue Hens led the entire tournament. Andrea Slane recorded a 75-74-73--222 (+6) to help Delaware card a 302-304-317--923 (+59).
The Red Storm returns home for its final tournament of the fall as the team is set to host the two day, St. John's Women's Intercollegiate at The Saint Andrew's Golf Club on Oct. 26-27.
