QUEENS, N.Y. - After earning an early doubles point against Brown on Friday, the St. John's men's tennis team could not get past the Bears, as the Red Storm fell, 4-3, at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Erick Reyes and R.J. Del Nunzio, along with the duo of Robert Livi and MJ Every both won their doubles matches, which gave the Red Storm a 1-0 lead against No. 57 Brown.
With singles victories from junior Vaidik Munshaw and senior Erick Reyes, the match was tied at three; however, Lucas Hejhal was unable to edge out Justin To in the number one singles slot after winning the first set 7-6.
Up next, the Red Storm travel up to Ithaca on Wednesday afternoon to take on No. 50 Cornell. St. John's looks to earn their first win against an Ivy League opponent this season.
