QUEENS, N.Y. -- The St. John's men's tennis team tallied its fourth consecutive victory on Friday with a 6-1 win against NJIT at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.Â
St. John's earned the early doubles point in the match, which put the team up 1-0 at the start of singles play. Sophomore Robert Livi won his dual match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0. His brother and teammate, freshman Elio Livi also won his dual match in the fifth singles spot in a comeback win after dropping the first set 3-6.
Junior Vaidik Munshaw earned his tenth singles victory of the season with his win in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.Â
The Red Storm look to continue its win streak on Sunday against Yale at home. The last time the two teams met on March 29, 2014, St. John's defeated the Bulldogs in a comeback win, 4-3.Â
