St. John's Places Fourth At BIG EAST Championship

April 18, 2015 DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Led behind back-to-back rounds of 314 (+26) in the second and third rounds, the St. John's women's golf team was able to take fourth place with a three-day total of 949 (+85) at the 2015 BIG EAST Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Anna Kim led the way for the Red Storm in the final two rounds of the three-day event, carding a 74 (+2) in the last round to tie for seventh overall with a 230 (+14).

Freshman Daniella Castaneda picked up three birdies in the final round of play to card an 80 (+8) and finish the week with a 234 (+18) to tie for 12th.

Saskia Sterud was able to improve three strokes in her final round to card a 78 (+6) and finish the week tied for 19th with a 240 (+24).

In her final performance with the Red Storm, senior Cameron Lambertson was able to pick up a pair of birdies to card an 82 (+10) and end the week tied for 22nd with a 245 (+29).

Also rounding out her collegiate career was Brittany Hurst who was able to put a birdie up on the par-5 14th and finish the day with a 91 (+19) to take 30th with a 280 (+64).
