Red Storm Sweeps DePaul On The Road, 7-0

Chicago, Ill. (April 19, 2015) -- The St. John's men's tennis team closed out its regular season with a BIG EAST conference victory against DePaul, 7-0.

The Red Storm led 1-0 going into singles play after doubles victories from Robert Livi and MJ Every and Erick Reyes and Vaidik Munshaw.

St. John's dominated and won four out of the six singles matches in straight sets. Freddy Ruiz won his singles match in the sixth flight, 6-2, 6-0. Lucas Hejhal earned a victory in the first singles slot, 7-6, 6-3.

Reyes, who earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors last week, continued his winning ways and defeated Sten Leusink 7-5, 6-3, in the second singles slot.

The Red Storm finished the regular season with a 12-8 overall record and 2-0 in the BIG EAST. The team will travel to Indianapolis next week to take part in the BIG EAST Tennis Championship Presented By New York Life.
