Robert Livi Named BIG EAST Player of The Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- After a standout week that saw him go undefeated in matches against DePaul and Penn in the final week of regular season play, sophomore Robert Livi has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Week.
Livi clinched victory for the Red Storm against Penn in the third singles slot in straight sets. The Port St. Lucie, Fla., native is 13-4 in singles matches on the season. Playing the top flight in doubles, Livi and his partner Michael-John Every defeated their opponents from Penn 8-5 and won their match against DePaul 8-4.
The St. John's men's tennis team finished the season with a 12-8 overall record and earned the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Championship Presented by New York Life. The Red Storm will face No. 8 Villanova on Friday, April 24 at 9 a.m. at the Barbara S. Wynne Tennis Center in Indianapolis, Ind.
